RECORD TITLE – FIRST SOLO NON-STOP CIRCUMNAVIGATOR
Record Detail: Mr. Abhilash Tomy from Kerala has set a fresh World Record for the “First solo non-stop circumnavigator.” A retired Indian naval officer undertook the expedition from Mumbai (Sagar Parikrama 2) on 01-November 2012, and returned to the city on March 31, 2013, completing a voyage of 23,100 nautical miles without any stops. He is the first Indian to circumnavigate non-stop the World solo and an awardee of Kirti Chakra -2013. We would like to wholeheartedly appreciate this jaw-breaking achievement of Mr. Abhilash Tomy.
